Vikram's absence troubles Telugu producers

By Ramchander

Vikram's absence from the promotional activity of Nanna, a dubbed version of Tamil movie Deiva Thirumagal, has troubled the Telugu producers. Vijayaprasad and Suresh Kondeti, who acquired the distribution rights of the Telugu version, are unhappy with the actor, as he is not promoting the film in Andhra Pradesh.

Vijayaprasad and Suresh Kondeti bought the theatrical rights of Nanna considering Vikram's popularity in Andhra Pradesh. They reportedly paid Rs. 4 crore for the film but after they bagged the film, the Villain star has not actively participated in the promotional activity. The movie is not a regular masala film and to pull the audience to the theatres, the lead actors should actively campaign. Else, it will not keep the cash registers ringing at the box-office, they believe.

Meanwhile, sources say that Vikram is currently busy filming his next project in Dubai. He will be coming to Andhra Pradesh soon. However, the actor has received an overwhelming response from the critics for Nanna and for his performance in the film. It also features Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul and baby Sara in the lead roles.
