Sundeep Kishan's latest is a fantasy thriller titled 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona.' Directed by Vi Anand, the movie created an adequate pre-release buzz with its theatrical trailer and songs. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona opened to positive reviews on February 16.

Ooru Peru Bhairavakona Synopsis

Basava (Sundeep Kishan) is a stunt double in need of so much money. He, along with his friend John (Viva Harsha) steals a bride's jewelry in desperation. As they try to escape the cops, they decide to help a girl named Agrahaaram Geetha (Kavya Thapar) who gets injured in a car accident. The trio then reach a mysterious village called Bhairavakona where they face critical situations.

The movie carried high expectations as films of such horror-thriller genre have been seeing success in the Tollywood industry. After Virupaksha, Polimera 1, and Polimera 2, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is expected to thrill the audiences with its content, coupled with the fact that it was directed by Vi Anand, who gave a blockbuster like 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada.'

On the release day, Sundeep Kishan-Varsha Bollamma's Ooru Peru Bhairavakona made a decent Rs 2.6 Crore. Due to lack of competition, the movie continued to perform well even after the first weekend and the word-of-mouth was also a bit positive that helped the movie's theatrical run. In this fantasy thriller, Sundeep Kishan played the role of Basava. It also features Kavya Thapar in the role of 'Agraharam' Geetha, Varsha Bollamma as Bhoomi, Vennela Kishore as Doctor Narappa, Harsha Chemudu as John, P Ravi Shankar as Rajappa, and Vadivukkarasi as Pedamma among others in prominent roles.

This Vi Anand directorial story was written by Bhanu Bogavarapu. Nandu Savirigana wrote the dialogues. Razesh Danda and Balaji Gutta bankrolled the film under the Hasya Movies banner, which is being presented by Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments banner. Chota K. Prasad and Raj Thota worked as the film's editor and cinematographer. Shekar Chandra composed the entire music and background score.
