Nayattu is a powerful and blood-boiling thriller drama, it revolves around the life of three police officers from various socio-economic classes. It illustrates how political maneuvering renders people irrelevant and how unethical politicians who claim to care about a social group that is oppressed use the pain of the community to advance their own self-serving agendas. The script penned by police officer Sibi Thomas and Sreejith Divakaran, is based on Thomas' actual experiences as a Circle Inspector at the Adhur police station in Kasaragod. Based on a true story that occurred in 2015, the story opens with a theft that takes place in a jewelry store in Kattappana, Idukki district. Asif Ali played a lead role in the movie alongside Alancier Lopez, Sharaf U Dheen, and Sunny Wein, and released in theaters last year.

Nivin Paly played a police officer role named Biju in the movie. Talking about his performance, his contribution was perfect. He has performed the role of Biju excellently well. His portrayal of Biju differs greatly from his usual romantic portrayals in both gestures and emotions. The movie, which was directed by Abrid Shine, earned  Rs 32 crore at the box office.
