He started his career as a director from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and his first movie became one of the most cult movies of Hindi cinema. He is a well-known filmmaker, director, producer, and editor and he is the recipient of several accolades including four National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards.
