Dulquer or Tovino Thomas: Who Will Be The Box Office Star In 2023?

Tovino Thomas who had seen in a lead role in the movie '2018', broken the records of Mohanlal's Pulimurgan and Mammootty's Beeshparvam. It has become the first Malayalam film to join the Rs 200 crore club. The film was released in theaters on 5 May 2023 and earned 1.70 crore on its opening day.

Helmed by Jude Anthany Joseph and it features Tovino Thomas in the lead role. It centers around the catastrophic floods that occurred in Kerala in 2019, drawing inspiration from real-life events. Apart from Tovino Thomas, the movie also stars Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Narian, Lal, and Joy Mathew. On other hand,Tovino who played a lead role in the horror thriller drama 'Neelavelicham'. The film hit the big screens on April 20 and was praised for its technical brilliance even though the storytelling and performances were conisdered below average. The report shows that the movie only earned below 10 crores at the box office.

In the movie, he will play an antagonistic character named Vardharaja Mannar. Kasagrold, starring Asif Ali, Vinayakan, and Sunny Wayne in key roles, was released in theaters on September 15, 2023. The film has received mixed reviews from viewers and critics. It marks Asif's second collaboration with Mridul after their 2018 coming-of-age film B.Tech. It's also the third venture by Yoodle Films, a subsidiary of Saregama, after Padavettu and Kaapa last year. Talking about it's box office collection, the film declared an average hit at the box office.

Tragically, his most recent movie, Chaaver, failed to draw viewers to theaters.
