L2: Empuraan Occupancy Report Day 9 (Hindi): Mohanlal's highly-anticipated film 'L2: Empuraan' ka 'L2E' is yet to leave a strong mark in the Hindi market. The Hindi dubbed version of the Malayalam-language pan-India biggie is struggling to touch the Rs 5 cr-mark at the box office in 8 days. However, the action-thriller sequel, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, holds the record of being the highest-opening film ever in Kerala. Amid high anticipation, Empuraan had its grand theatrical release worldwide last week on 27th March 2025 (Thursday).

After maintaining a slow pace during weekdays, the film has witnessed a slight hike in footfalls during morning shows today (April 4, day 9) in the Hindi belt, giving a neck-to-neck fight to Salman Khan's Eid 2025 biggie 'Sikandar'.

Featuring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead, L2: Empuraan marks the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Lucifer'. Amid strong pre-release buzz, Lucifer 2 (L2: Empuraan) opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike and earned an overall amount of Rs 21 cr (including all languages). With a opening day collection of Rs 50 lakhs, the Hindi version of the film went on to mint around Rs 2.0 cr in 8 days, as reported by Sacnilk.

Ahead of the second weekend, L2 Empuraan (Hindi) has recorded a slight boost in morning footfalls on day 9 (today, April 4). According to real-time Sacnilk updates, the movie witnessed 4.16% morning occupancy today.

Compared to yesterday's morning occupancy, the Hindi-dubbed version of the Mohanlal starrer has showed a very little growth on its 2nd Friday. As per Sacnilk, the film was said to have around 3.32% occupancy in morning shows footfalls.

Empuraan (Hindi) Vs Sikandar Morning Occupancy (Today)

Even though the overall numbers of Empuraan are lagging behind Salman Khan's Sikandar, the Hindi version of L2E has managed to give a strong competition to Sikandar in morning shows today. As per Sacnilk, Khan's film recorded 4.56% occupancy (Hindi) in morning shows today, on its first Friday (April 4).
