Dirty Politics is supposed to be based on the story of Bhanwari Devi and politician Mahipal Maderna's sex-tape controversy, apparently Mallika Sherawat plays the role of Bhanwari Devi while, Om Puri does the role of the politician. Story in detail: The movie is set in Rajasthan where Anokhi Devi (Mallika Sherawat) is a social climber with big ambitions in life. With her partner (Rajpal Yadav), Anokhi manages to become the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. But her greed has no limitations and she dreams of becoming Rajasthan CM. Following this Anoki plays a dirty politics with Deenanath (Om Puri) who is the current Chief Minister of the state in the film. She blackmails Deenanth for Rs 50 cr with the help of a CD in which she is seen in a compromising position with the CM. This doesn’t go down well with Deenanth and what happens then is what ‘Dirty Politics’ revolves around.
The film Dirty Politics happens to be a political drama and shows the dark side of politics, comprising corruption, jealousy and sex.
Mallika Sherawat has yet again proved that she has a lot to learn about acting and though, all the other stars are veteran in the field, the film fails to offer much for them to make us impressed about.
All in all, the movie Dirty Politics can be a one-time watch as there are no better films releasing this Friday.
There are good and bad movies. And there are movies like ‘Dirty Politics’. It’s so dirty that you are better off not getting your mind polluted by this muck of a movie.
Bad performances, shoddy dubbing, flawed editing and a plot so contrived that it makes 145 minutes of screen time seem like torture.
