Haq Story

Haq is a courtroom drama movie directed by Suparn Varma, featuring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Vartika Singh, Danish Husain, Sheeba Chadha, and many more. Haq is produced by Harman Baweja, Vishal Gurnani, Vineet Jain and Juhi Parekh Mehta, under Junglee Pictures in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios.

Plot

Inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgment in Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs. Shah Bano Begum, Haq tells the powerful story of a woman’s fight for justice. Shazia Bano courageously takes her husband, Abbas, to court after he abandons her and their children, igniting a national debate on faith, women’s rights, and the pursuit of equality.
