Shagird Story

Shagird the movie is an action packed drama of two Crime Branch officers working in Delhi.

Nana Patekar plays (Hanumanth Singh), a cop whose ideologies are tested when an infamous gangster Bunty Bhaiya (Anurag Kashyap) crosses his path. Ironically they are both working for a corrupted politician Rajmani Singh (Zakir Hussain) who uses unethical practices to rule the state.

Meanwhile, Hanumanth amidst bending the rules and using immoral methods in work, mentors Mohit (Mohit Ahlawat). Mohit follows his own set of principles when it comes to his work.

As the story unfolds the interlinks between the characters in the film become clearer. The film also stars Rima Sen who gets involved in a dramatic kidnap. The kidnap is committed by some international terrorists who demand the release of their two men.

The movie Shagrid is a fast paced movie loaded with action that has many twists and turns and where everybody is ready to kill for money. It makes the audience questions as to what is necessary and what circumstances require overlooking ethical rules. It is a suspense, where faces are unmasked and secrets are revealed as the movie ends.
