Dunki Vs Salaar: Shah Rukh Khan & Prashanth Neel Also Clashed At BO In 2018; Here’s Who Emerged Victorious

Salaar New Release Date: Following the disappointing performance of Adipurush, Prabhas' devoted fanbase has been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Salaar. Directed by Prashanth Neel, renowned for Yash-starrer KGF, the movie is anticipated to be a gripping action thriller centered around a violent protagonist. Initially slated for a September 28 release, the film's launch was postponed due to the filmmakers' decision to enhance its post-production.
SALAAR TO CLASH WITH SHAH RUKH KHAN'S DUNKI
Today (September 29), Hombale Films, the production company, has unveiled the long-awaited new release date for the movie. Taking to social media, the makers announced that Salaar is now going to be released on December 22 this year. The tweet read, "Coming bloody soon! #SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release on Dec 22, 2023 (sic)."

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Dunki is also scheduled to release on the same day. Yes, you read that right! Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, it is among the biggest releases of 2023, especially after the humongous success of SRK's last two releases - Pathaan and Jawan earlier this year.
Salaar is set to go head-to-head with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki in theaters later this year, coinciding with the Christmas weekend, and fans are already excited to witness the clash. However, it isn't the first time SRK and Prashanth Neel are going to battle it out at the ticket window. Yes, you read that right!

SHAH RUKH KHAN & PRASHANTH NEEL BOX OFFICE CLASH IN 2018
Five years ago, in 2018, SRK and Prashanth Neel's films Zero and KGF: Chapter 1 were released on December 21. Back then, it wasn't exactly called a clash as Zero was a Hindi film whereas KGF was a Kannada film that also got dubbed in Hindi and other languages. Among the two films, KGF: Chapter 1 turned out to be a huge success at the box office while Zero was among the biggest disappointments of 2018.
Now, it'll be interesting to see how their upcoming films Dunki and Salaar will perform at the box office.
