Is Diljit Dosanjh Still A Part Of No Entry 2? Amid Sardaar Ji 3 Row, Actor’s Latest BTS Video Sparks Buzz
Diljit Dosanjh No Entry 2 Exit Rumours: Punjabi singer-actor-turned-global-icon Diljit Dosanjh recently caught himself in a controversy over his latest release 'Sardaar Ji 3'. The actor received severe backlash due to the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir following the heinous Pahalgam terrorist attack. For those unversed, the Indian government has banned Pakistani artists in India and also blocked their Instagram profiles in our country. Before this entire Sardaar Ji 3 row, rumors went rife that Dosanjh walked out of No Entry 2, one of the highly-anticipated upcoming Bollywood sequels, due to creative differences. Later, it was cited as date issues, as claimed by director Anees Bazmee. Now, Diljit Dosanjh's latest Instagram video has sparked a new wave of speculations about his No Entry 2 exit rumours.
Amid Sardaar Ji 3 Controversy, Diljit Dosanjh CONFIRMED Starting Border 2 New Schedule
Soon after the trailer release of Diljit Dosanjh's recently-released Punjabi horror-comedy Sardaar Ji 3, the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) had sent an open letter to T-Series head-honcho Bhushan Kumar along with Imtiaz Ali, demanding that to rethink their casting choice and remove Diljit from their upcoming films, which include Border 2.
The casting of Pak actress Hania Aamir in Diljit's Punjabi film had left Indians disappointed and heartbroken. Amidst the controversy, Diljit confirmed still being a part of Border 2 as he shared a video of himself starting a new schedule. The development came after FWICE removed the ban only for Border 2 after Bhushan Kumar made a special request to the film body since a major chunk of the shoot was already done.
"We met Bhushan Kumar a couple of times, and he shared with us how they had almost completed the shoot of the film. Only a small portion of the song remained to be shot at the NDA (National Defence Academy). He requested that it would cause a lot of difficulties for the production if they had to replace Diljit now. This is why we decided to revoke the ban on Border 2, (sic)", BN Tiwari, President of FWICE, told India Today.
"Bhushan ji and his team were quite keen on taking a decision which is pro-country, but he also explained to us that the film is nearly 80-85 per cent complete. Most of the work with Diljit is over. So, he requested the federation to allow him to complete this film, and in the future, he will never cast him. That was the request he made, and he will be issuing a letter to us on the same (sic)," further adding, "The federation will not bow down and hence will not be responsible for the heavy losses which will be suffered by the producers who decide to work with it in the future. As of now, we have taken a call to support our producer in this situation. (sic)"
Diljit Dosanjh Still A Part Of No Entry 2? Actor's Latest BTS Video Drops Hints
Seems like Diljit Dosanjh is still very much a part of No Entry 2. Either the reports of Diljit exiting the comedy sequel were rumours, or he re-entered the dynamic cast of the film. The actor's latest hilarious BTS Instagram video hints at being a part of No Entry 2.
In the video, Diljit is seen sitting with No Entry 2 director Anees Bazmee and producer Boney Kapoor. The voice over in the background, done by Diljit himself, says, "Anees Bazmee, Bollywood ke director ke director chale hue hai. Bazmee sahab story suna rahe hai, mere favourite director hai. Idhar Boney Kapoor keh rahe hai, ishq ki gali wich no entry."
For those unversed, besides Diljit Dosanjh, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are said to be playing the roles of the other two male leads. An official announcement on the same is still awaited.
