Then she made her appearance on the big screen in the Kannada movie " Dhairyam ." She received a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Debutant Actress in her very first movie. But following the release of her debut movie, she returned to television and appeared in the Kannada-language serial "Nagakanike," which helped increase her appeal to Kannada viewers. Following the excellence of " Nagakanike ," she was given the chance to appear in the sandalwood film "Bazaar," directed by the famed Simple Suni. The Bazaar was a respectable box office success.
