Chellam

Chellam, also known as Senthil Sel Am, is a Kollywood actor, director, producer, and writer. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the film Thiru.Vi.Ka.Poonga, and he is best known for his second project, Manjal Veeran, which was a collaboration with the YouTube sensation TTF. Chellam is a versatile talent who is making waves in the Kollywood industry.

Personal Details

Chellam was born into a Hindu family in Thirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, on August 19, 1985. He developed an interest in filmmaking at a young age after his teacher praised his storytelling skills. He completed his schooling in Thirunelveli and graduated from Palayamkottai College.

Career

Chellam made his directorial debut with the film Thiru.Vi.Ka.Poonga, which was released in 2015 on YouTube. The film featured Kadhal Thandapani, John Vijay, and Muneesh Raja in leading roles. Chellam not only directed the film, but he also wrote, produced, and starred in it.

Despite the film's low production budget, it did not achieve commercial success. For his second film, Chellam chose a more popular actor with a large fan following, TTF Vasan, who was also new to the film industry. Their collaboration, Manjal Veeran, is scheduled to be released in December 2023.
