Chimbu Deven is a Tamil film director. He debuted in film directing with the blockbuster comedy film Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi. Early Life
Born in Madurai, Simbu was the second child of Mr. Venkatraman and Mrs. Thiraviam Venkatraman. His original name is Senthilkumar. His father worked in the telegraph office as an overseer. Simbudevan has a bachelor degree in botany from the Madurai Kamaraj University.
Among his various cartoon characters was Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, which was the subject of one of his films later.
Film Career
Simbudevan worked as an assistant director to the film-maker Cheran. His first film as an assistant director was Vetri Kodi Kattu. He has also worked in the films Pandavar Boomi and Autograph with Cheran. He has worked in the films 'Dheena' and 'Ramana' with director A.R. Murugadoss.
