Dharan is a music composer from Tamil cinema. He has established himself as one of the most sought-after composers in Tamil cinema through his debut Parijatham.
Dharan started his career in an internship under Harris Jeyaraj for the movies Anniyan, Kaaka Kaaka and Chellame (Telugu). He is famous actress Devika's nephew. Dharan used to do a lot of music programs in the college that Bhagyaraj's daughter Saranya studied in. Saranya's recommendation and his talent paved the way for his entry into Kollywood.
The 22-year-old music director's “Unnai Kandaene...” song in Parijatham is a huge hit which will sing his fame forever. The movie Sivi made people realize that Parijatham was no fluke and he had set international standards for himself with the audio as well as the re-recording of the film.
The songs "maayavi neeya" and "oh nenje" were critically acclaimed for their exquisite instrumentation and exceptional arrangements. In "oh nenje" song, he made a famous Tamil rapper Dr. Burn to rap, which created nothing but a mesmerizing music.
His next movie Laadam was a disaster at the box office though couple of tracks were good in the movie as they were not recognized as the movie was a big flop. But after listening to an album like Sivi, one can be very sure that this young composer would go places.
