Jodie Whittaker Biography
Jodie Auckland Whittaker is an award-winning English actress, perhaps best known for her work in the film Venus (2006). Career
She made her professional debut in The Storm at Shakespeare's Globe in 2005. She has since then worked in films, television and theatre. She stood in at short notice for an unwell actress in the Royal Court's production of The Seagull, and appeared in a fund-raising chain play at the Almeida Theatre.
Whittaker's radio credits include a 2008 adaptation of Blinded By The Sun by Stephen Poliakoff, which also starred Harriet Walter and Alex Jennings and the role, Lydia Bennett in Unseen Austen, an original drama by Judith French.
Whittaker appeared in a number of productions: the films Good and White Wedding and the TV drama The Shooting of Tom Hurndall (for Channel 4), Wired (for ITV), and Consuming Passions (for the BBC, in which she plays Mary Boon).
