Ganesh is an Indian actor, producer, and television host who works primarily in Kannada cinema. He is famous for his roles in Mungaru Male , Cheluvina Chiththara, and Gaalipata; he also received Udaya Film Awards and Filmfare Awards for his performance in those films. Personal Life Ganesh is the eldest son of his family. He was born in Adakamaranahalli, near Nelamangala town in Karnataka. Kishan is his father's name, and Sulochana is his mother's. He has two younger brothers, Mahesh and Umesh. The acting bug had bitten him since his childhood days. He has earned a diploma in electronics from Nelamangala. He married his maternal relative Shilpa Barkur on February 11, 2008. The couple has two children, a daughter named Charithriya and a son named Vihaan. Career Ganesh started as a junior film artist in the industry, playing small, insignificant roles. He acted in several TV series, including Yadva Tadva, Vataara, directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, and Pa Pa Pandu, directed by Sihi Kahi Chandru. As a TV artist, he popularised the television program Comedy Time. The show aired on Udaya TV from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Following the success of this TV show, fans started calling him "Comedy Time" Ganesh. Ganesh's first feature-length wide-release film, Chellata, was a moderate success and ran up to 125 days in some theaters. Chitra Rekha, who had already acted in quite a few films, acted opposite Ganesh in this film. Ganesh shot to popularity with the 2007 blockbuster film Mungaru Male, which became one of the biggest hits in Kannada cinema.
