Kirik Keerthi is known for his active stance in protecting the Kannada language and Kannada culture. Keerthi Kumar has worked as a program producer and a reporter in Kannada news channels, as an RJ and is a social media activist. He has worked as a journalist for TV News channels under the name 'Keerthi Shankaraghatta' but his famous persona was 'Kirik Keerthi' on the social media through which he revolted against many anti-Kannada activities and organizations. Kirik Keerthi sung a rap song called Namma Bengaluru along with Chandan Shetty and also Keerthi done a guest appeareance in Guruprasad's Eradane Sala movie. Bigg Boss Kannada 4 Curtains came down on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 4. After 3 and half long months of fights, entertainment and laughter, the game show concluded with Pratham emerging victorious on the night of Grand Finale. Five contestants had reached the finale. Pratham, Keerthi, Rekah, Mohan and Malavika were the five finalists of this season. The final contest was between Kirik Keethi and Pratham. In the end Pratham managed to edge out Keerthi to win the prize money but Keerthi won Runner-up trophy along with Kiccha Sudeep personally gave 10 Lakhs to Keerthi for a speacial cause which planned by Keerthi for the development of Kannada medium schools across the State.
