Manoj Bharathiraja , an acclaimed Indian actor and film director, made his mark in Tamil cinema. The son of legendary director Bharathiraja , Manoj debuted as an actor with Taj Mahal (1999). His notable films include Kadal Pookkal (2001), Alli Arjuna (2002), Varushamellam Vasantham (2002), and Viruman (2022). Before stepping into acting, Manoj worked as an assistant director under stalwarts like Mani Ratnam and Shankar. He also assisted his father in several films, including the delayed project Final Cut of Director (2016). Bharathiraja honored his son by naming his production house "Manoj Creations," which produced many successful films. Manoj married actress Nandana, his co-star from Saadhuriyan, and the couple was blessed with two daughters, Arthika and Mathivadani. Tragic End Manoj Bharathiraja passed away due to a heart attack on March 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered in Tamil cinema.
