Pavithra Jayaram was a well-known television and film actress in Kannada and Telugu entertainment. She began her career in 2009 with the Kannada serial Jokali on Udaya TV and subsequently gained popularity with notable roles in serials such as Robo Family, Gaalipata, Chandra Chakori, Neeli, and Radha Ramana. She transitioned to Telugu television in 2018 with Ninne Pelladatha, followed by appearances in Trinayani and Swarna Palace. Pavithra also ventured into films, acting in Kannada features like Melobba Mayavi and Manjari, and the Telugu film Bucchi Naidu Kandriga. Before entering acting, she supported her education and family through jobs as a housekeeper, salesgirl, and library assistant. Pavithra married actor Chandrakanth in October 2021 (her second marriage) and had two children from her first marriage: Chandan Kumar and Prathiksha. Known for her dedication to fitness, love for travel and dance, and her affectionate bond with her pet dog, she had a vibrant off-screen presence. Tragically, Pavithra died in a car accident on 12 May 2024 near Divitipally, Mahbubnagar district, while traveling from Bangalore to Hyderabad. Her husband, sister, and driver were injured, and Chandrakanth passed away by suicide three days later. Her sudden demise deeply impacted fans and colleagues across the Kannada and Telugu television industries.
