Priyadarshini is an Indian actress, news reader, and TV anchor who has made notable contributions to the Tamil entertainment industry. She has also acted in several Kollywood films throughout her career. As a child actor, Priyadarshini appeared in movies such as "Dhavani Kanavugal," "Kaval Kaidigal," "Naagam," "Naga Devatha" (Telugu), "Kuttravaaligal," "Idhya Kovil," "Uyire Unakkaga," and "Idyathai Thirudathey." In addition to her film work, she has appeared in numerous television and stage shows, showcasing her versatility as an entertainer.

Priyadarshini has anchored popular Tamil and Malayalam TV channels including Sun TV, Vijay TV, Zee Tamil, Kalaignar TV, and Surya TV. Her on-screen presence and captivating hosting skills have garnered her a loyal fan base.

Born on June 4, 1978, in Singapore, Priyadarshini was raised in Chennai. She comes from a family of entertainers, with her father being Mr. K. Neelakandan and her mother being Mrs. N. Srilatha. Unfortunately, Priyadarshini lost her father at a young age. She has a younger sister named Dhiviya Darshini (also known as DD), who is a TV anchor, and a younger brother who is a pilot.

Priyadarshini began her television career in 1998 with the mega serial "Vizhudugal," which was aired on DD Podhigai TV. She gained further recognition through her appearances on TV reality shows like "Maanada Mayilanda" on Kalaignar TV and "Boys vs Girls" on Vijay TV. She emerged as the winner of the season of "Maanada Mayilanda" along with Bala and their choreographer Mani. In "Boys vs Girls," she received the award for Best Female Dancer for her outstanding performance.

Apart from her television work, Priyadarshini has acted in various Tamil movies, including "Dhavani Kanavukal," "Idhaya Kovil," "Shubhayathra," and "Puli Varuthu." She has also appeared in several Tamil TV serials, including "Agni Paritchai," "Vizhudugal," "Kanavugal Ilavasam," "Kolangal," "Vasantham," "Tharkappu Kalai Theeratha," "My Dear Bootham," "Ethanai Manidargal," "Visalam," and "Rekha IPS."
