Ravichandran was a vetran tamil film actor who played lead roles in old tamil movies during 1960's & 1970's. He also directed few movies & in recent movies he did a supporting roles.
Ravichandran was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Later, He moved to Thrichy, India in 1951 and studied at St.Joseph College in Trichy. He married Vimala. He was 71 and is survived by three sons. Their sons are Balaji & Hamsavardhan who is also an actor, They have only daughter Lavanya. He passed away due to multi-organ failure on 25 July 2011 at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
