Biography

Srinivasa Murthy was an Indian dubbing artist renowned for his contributions to the South Indian film industry, gained popularity, particularly for dubbing Suriya's character in the Singam film series. Acknowledging his excellence, Murthy received a Nandi award for his work in Sivayya, presented by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. On January 27, 2023, he passed away at his residence in Chennai. Career Murthy initiated his journey as a dubbing artist in Tollywood during the early 1990s. He was the son of A. V. N. Murthy, a playback singer. Over the course of his career, Murthy lent his voice to over 3,000 films. His versatile talent extended beyond Telugu cinema, as he provided dubbing for various non-Telugu actors. This included artists like Upendra, Jayaram in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Ajith Kumar in Viswasam, Vikram in Aparichithudu, Arjun in Oke Okkadu, and Mohanlal in Janatha Garage. Additionally, Murthy contributed his voice for Telugu-dubbed versions of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's movies, as well as notable Hollywood films. He also dubbed for Hrithik Roshan in the Krish Series. Murthy's final work as a dubbing artist was in Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
