Vinay Rai

Vinay Rai is an actor who has appeared in prominent Tamil films as well as pursued modelling and catwalking in noted fashion shows.

Vinay was originally a ramp model in Bangalore, and he made his debut as an actor in director Jeeva's Unnale Unnale co-starring Sadha and Tanisha Mukherjee. The film became a large success upon release and opened up more acting offers for Vinay.

Vinay is also a keen rugby player; he has represented India and Bangalore; he was part of the Indian squad that toured Bahrain in 2001. He has played for Bangalore in various tournaments, since making his debut in 1999.

Since his debut film, he has appeared in a Telugu language film, Vaana, which flopped at the box-office and a critically successful Tamil film, Jayamkondaan, for which his performance was acclaimed. Rai also acted in two Tamil language films, Nootrukku Nooru and Modhi Vilayadu.
