Plot Line

The film events begin after a decade after the first film. It tells the story of the Sully family and their problems in the aftermath. The film shows the battles they fight to stay alive, to keep the family safe, and the tragedies they endure during the journey.

In the Avatar's first climactic scene, Sam Worthington transformed into a full avatar and killed the antagonist, Colonel Miles Quaritch. However, in The Way of Water, the story opens with the hero having four kids and having settled with that Na'vi clan. Using the memorable moments of the evil Quaritch, they devised a new mission to eliminate the Avatar's chief.

The rest of The Way of Water's story revolved around how the heroes handled the villain's problem and either managed to flee or strongly ignored the mission and persisted in their existing Na'vi land.
