The Holdovers Story

The Holdovers is a 2023 American comedy-drama film directed by Alexander Payne and written by David Hemingson. Set during the winter break of 1970-1971, it follows a curmudgeonly classics teacher, Paul Dunham (played by Paul Giamatti), who's forced to supervise a handful of students stuck at a prestigious New England boarding school over Christmas.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph has won Best Supporting Actress in Oscar for this film.
