Goureesankaram movie tells the story of Gauri (Kavya Madhavan)and Sankaran (Munna) who are childhood buddies. As they grow up their friendship grows up into love. They get married. Life seems to be bliss. But then Sankaran family home is very ancient and they believe in worshiping the snake gods. His family also believes that there exists a snake god and snake goddess in their family home. This also becomes a reason for the separation of Gauri and Sankaran.
