Kannur Squad is a Malayalam investigative action-thriller movie directed by Roby Varghese Raj. The film stars Megastar Mammootty in the lead role.  Billed as a thriller, the film is produced by Mammotty under his own production company. The screenplay is written by the director along with actor Rony David Raj. Sushin Shyam composed the music. The cinematography of the film is handled by Muhammed Rahila along with Praveen Prabhakar. The editing is done by Praveen Prabhakar Movie Plot  It tells the story of a police officer and his team undertake a rigorous nationwide chase to capture a criminal syndicate. On other hand, the film sparkles with absurdist humour, as the police station becomes the site for this bizarre drama to unfold. The personalities of each of the cops in the movie are superbly sketched, with quite a few real-life police officers acting in the film.    Release Date The film was released in theaters on September 28, 2023.     Box Office Collection  Mammootty’s Kannur Squad has crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office. The film emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of the year. The film was released in theaters on August 28, 2023, and joined the Rs 50-crore club in nine days at the worldwide box office. The first four days of domestic sales for Kannur Squad reportedly brought in close to Rs 15 crore. The movie has made over Rs 13 crore in revenue worldwide, bringing its four-day revenues to Rs 28 crore. OTT release Date  'Kannur Squad' started streaming on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar on  November 17, 2023.
