Priyam Priyatharam movie is about a love story with a Brahmin village as the backdrop. A Christian youth Vinu Cyriac is on his way back to Kerala from Bangalore along with his friend Venkidi, a Brahmin youth. They were both studying in Bangalore. Venkidi takes Vinu to his agraharam (Brahmin village). There Vinu meets a young girl Abhirami, with whom he falls in love. What happens consequently in the conservative agraharam forms the plot of Priyam Priyathram.
