Tharun Moorthy To Direct Mohanlal's L365: The legendary superstar of Malayalam cinema is all set to play a police officer yet again, in his upcoming 365th film. The untitled Mohanlal starrer, which was originally supposed to be directed by newcomer Austin Dan Thomas, has been tentatively titled L365. However, recently the makers of the film confirmed that Tharun Moorthy has replaced Austin as the director of the film.

Recently, the Thudarum director took to his official social media handles and confirmed that he is all set to reunite with the legendary actor, for the latter's upcoming 365th film. "When a storyteller and a legend meet again, a universe stirs. After Thudarum, I and @Mohanlal embark on another voyage, carried by the vision of Ashiq Usman Productions. Rolling Soon..," wrote Tharun Moorthy, on his official X (formerly Twitter) page. Mohanlal retweeted Tharun's post, thus confirming the news all over again.

If the rumors are to be believed, Austin Dan Thomas, who was supposed to make his feature film directorial debut with L365, was replaced after the film's announcement due to creative reasons. The grapevine suggests that the young filmmaker had major creative differences with producer Ashiq Usman and his team, which eventually led to his exit from the film. It is also rumoured that the director deactivated his social media handles soon after his exit from the Mohanlal starrer, due to unknown reasons.

However, according to producer Ashiq Usman, Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy's new project has not connection with L365, which was supposed to be directed by Austin Dan Thomas. The initial project, which was expected to be directed by the newcomer was shelved as the script was not up to the mark. The producer claimed that the team is currently working on a fresh subject, which has not connection with the Austin Dan project.
