The story is about Sreenivasan (Dhanush), who escapes from jail tells his tragic love story to a lorry driver who promises to take him to Ooty where he wants to meet Thulasi (Priya Mani).
Sreenivasan is an unemployed. He falls in love with Thulasi. But his dad opposes his relationship with a servant’s daughter.
To forget his worries, He has a beer with friends but ends up in jail. Because he accidentally kills a guy in the cell which gets him a 10 year imprisonment.
