Suryaputra Mahavir Karna Story
Karna (aka Suryaputra Mahavir Karna) is a Tamil historical war drama movie written and directed by classical filmmaker R. S. Vimal, while the Tamil dialogue for this film was penned by B. Jayamohan. Chiyaan Vikram starred in the lead role as a loyal protector and true champion of Mahabaratham, "Karnan." In this flick, more than 200 to 300 talented actors starred for the war sequence, but many leading stars other than Vikram had not yet been disclosed.
Satheesh Kurup's cinematography will visually captivate us throughout the film, while Shameer Muhammed and Amal S. Hari's editing is sharp and precise. Story
Suryaputra Mahavir Karna tells the tale of Karna, the Mahabharata's unsung hero. A man of contradictions, Karna was a master warrior, a generous giver, and a loyal friend. But he was also arrogant, impetuous, and vengeful. This film will narrate Karna's rise from humble beginnings to become one of the greatest warriors of his time.
It will also explore his complex relationships with other characters in the Mahabharata and the story of a man who was born to be a hero but who was ultimately undone by his own flaws. A warrior with a heart of gold, brought to life by the incomparable Vikram, under the masterful direction of R.S. Vimal. While the story is familiar, the team's cinematic vision promises to bring it to life in a groundbreaking way.
Suryaputra Mahavir Karna Update
After the roaring success of Ennu Ninte Moideen, director R.S. Vimal set his sights on an even grander vision: Suryaputra Mahavir Karna, a historical war film with Prithviraj in the lead. But the film's budget quickly ballooned to ₹300 crore, forcing the producers to take a step back. Prithviraj also dropped out due to other commitments.
In 2018, Tamil actor Vikram was signed on to play the titular role. Fans were ecstatic to see Vikram in another historical war film after his stirring performance in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Now, with Vikram at the helm, Suryaputra Mahavir Karna is poised to be one of the most epic films ever made in India.
Release Date
The movie "Suryaputra Mahavir Karna" will grace the silver screens in May 2024. A pan-Indian cinematic feast, which will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
