Yaathisai

Yaathisai is a 2023 historical period drama written and directed by Dharani Rasendran. While Dharani Rasendran created the screenplay, Thirumurugan Kalilingam wrote the dialogue for the entire play. Shakthi Mithran, Seyon, and Raja Lakshmi starred in the lead roles, along with Guru Somasundaram, Chandrakumar, and many others in supporting roles. The cinematography was performed by Akilesh Kathamuthu, and Mahendran Ganesan edited the movie. The soundtracks and background music for this movie were composed by Chakravarthy, and Babu D wrote the song lyrics. This movie was produced by K. J. Ganesh under the banners of Six Star Entertainment and Venus Entertainer. Plot Yaathisai centres on the Pandiyan ruler Ranadheeran, who ruled in the seventh century and lived in an age when the Chola kingdom had lost dominance and its people were compelled to stay in a forest. The sole reason why rulers engaged in multiple wars to establish their dominance was to rule over people, lands, virtues, and rights. With stunning photography and a sharp concentration on the right storyline, this movie depicts the rise of pandiyas and the end of cholas.
