Vishal's Paayum Puli released yesterday after facing a last minute demurral from some theatre owners. As it turned out, the protest that created a lot of fuss, helped the movie to earn itself an unintentional promotion at the right moment which might reflect in the box office collection of Paayum Puli by the end of its first weekend.
So will Paayum Puli be a success at the box office? Well, it might be a moderate success as the movie has garnered average reviews from critics and movie goers.
But trade analysts think otherwise as they have predicted that the movie might have enough in it to be more than just a mediocre success at the box office.
Suggesting that the film might do really well at B and C centres for its good stunt sequences and intense second half, experts have also revealed that the movie's performance at A centres is something that might bother its producers.

Second Day Box Office Prediction (Chennai)
On its second day (Saturday), the Vishal starrer might amass 28 lakh rupees from Chennai. Yes, it is predicted that the collections might actually dip on its second day in the capital city.
Second Day Box Office Prediction (Tamil Nadu)
When it comes to Tamil Nadu, the film is expected to collect 2.8 crore rupees with major contributions coming from Madurai and Tirunelveli districts.
Third Day Box Office Prediction (Chennai)
On its third day (Sunday) Paayum Puli might go on to collect 32 lakhs from Chennai alone. The numbers are estimated based on inputs from trade experts and theatre owners across the city.
Third Day Box Office Prediction (Tamil Nadu)
It is anticipated that the movie might accumulate 2.9 crore rupees from Tamil Nadu alone on its third day.
Total Weekend Prediction
Adding up all the numbers, Paayum Puli is predicted to collect close to 9 crore rupees from Tamil Nadu by the end of its first weekend (first three days).
