Ankit Gupta New Show: TV actor Ankit Gupta, who embarked on his acting journey with Balika Vadhu in 2012, has reached notable milestones in his career and is currently acknowledged as one of the small screen's most popular personalities. Renowned for his roles in much-loved shows such as Sadda Haq, Begusarai, and Kundali Bhagya, he rose to prominence by portraying the lead character Fateh in the successful Colors show Udaariyaan, alongside Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
Nevertheless, Ankit Gupta's fame soared to household recognition through Salman Khan's controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 16. Throughout his stint on the show, fans admired his composed demeanor and camaraderie with his fellow contestant and best friend, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Soon after Bigg Boss, he returned to the small screen with Junooniyatt.
IS ANKIT GUPTA RETURNING WITH JUNOONIYATT 2?
Produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta, Junooniyatt was highly awaited as it marks Ankit's comeback with Udaariyaan producers and also featured his Bigg Boss 16 co-contestant Gautam Singh Vig. The musical drama premiered in February this year amid a huge buzz and expectations. However, it failed to fetch the expected numbers and went off-air recently after a run of around nine months.
It's been only a few days since Junooniyatt ended and fans are already missing Ankit as Jahaan and are hoping for the show's second season. In a recent interview, the TV star finally opened up about the rumours and possibility about the second season of Junooniyatt. He cleared that there's no plan of the show's new season as of now.
ANKIT GUPTA DISMISSES JUNOONIYATT 2 RUMOURS
Talking about the same to ETimes, Ankit Gupta said, "Sabse pehle mujhe ye batao ki aap logon ko ye information mil kaha se rahi hai? Mere paas Junooniyatt 2 ki koi information nahi hai, Ravi-Sargun ke paas bhi nahi hogi, agar hoti toh mujhe batate. But, I've no information about it. Kuch aisa hoga toh we'll sit and discuss and then we'll see what needs to be done."
While the development is surely going to disappoint Ankit's fans, here's hoping to see him again on TV very soon.
