Sumbul Touqeer’s Imlie Co-Star Joins Shivangi Joshi & Kushal Tandon In Sony TV’s New Show Barsaatein?

Barsaatein Cast: Shivangi Joshi, who became a household name after playing the popular character of Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is returning to the small screen very soon. Also seen in shows like Balika Vadhu 2 and Bekaboo, the actress will play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's new show on Sony TV alongside Kushal Tandon.

The much-awaited drama is reportedly titled Barsaatein and fans of the lead stars are eagerly awaiting its premiere. In the show, Shivangi will be essaying the character of a journalist while not much details are yet know about Kushal's role.

Amid all this, the makers are trying to rope in a great set of actors who'll be seen playing pivotal roles in Barsaatein. As reported earlier, Saii Ranade will be seen essaying the role of Shivangi's foster mother. She is known for shows like Laado and Tara From Satara.

IMLIE ACTRESS JOINS CAST OF SHIVANGI JOSHI'S BARSAATEIN

Now the latest buzz suggests that one of Sumbul Touqeer Khan's Imlie co-stars has reportedly joined the cast of Shivangi and Kushal's new show. Well, we're talking about actress Preet Kaur Nayak best known for playing the character of Aditya Tripathi's (Gashmeer Mahajani) onscreen sister Rupali Tripathi in Imlie.

According to the ongoing reports, Preet Kaur Nayak is likely to play an important role in the much-awaited show. However, not much details related to her character are yet out. Also, an official announcement is still awaited from the actress and the makers' side.

BARSAATEIN TO BE LAUNCHED DURING MONSOONS

Besides Preet Kaur Nayak, there's also a stong buzz that the cast of Barsaatein also includes names like Sameer Malhotra and Riya Doshi. They are expected to play Kushal Tandon's father and Shivangi Joshi's younger sister.

According to reports, the show's plot revolves around Aradhana (Shivangi), a journalist, aspiring to work at Reyansh's (Kushal) firm. However, her mother Bhakti (Saii), a dentist, strongly believes that Aradhana should pursue a career in the medical profession. As the title suggests, the makers are planning to launch the show during Monsoon.
