Anupamaa Controversy: Starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the lead roles of Anupama and Anuj Kapadia respectively, Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa debuted on Star Plus in 2020 and has consistently ranked among the highest-rated shows across channels. Since its inception, this family drama has dominated the TRP charts, captivating viewers with its current episodes.

In a bid to keep the loyal fanbase engaged, the creators introduced a five-year leap in Anupamaa, transitioning the storyline to the United States following the separation of Anupama and Anuj, affectionately dubbed MaAn by fans.

In the ongoing plot, Anuj is engaged to Shruti (portrayed by Sukirti Kandpal), while Aadya strongly opposes Anupama and advocates for Anuj's marriage to Shruti instead. Meanwhile, Anupamaa is involved in a cooking competition and hopes to save Yashdeep's restaurant. Amidst these developments, Anuj extends an invitation to Anupama to stay with them and help with Aadya's panic attacks.

Although the ongoing storyline has garnered a mixed response, Anupamaa continues to command high TRPs. In a surprising turn of events, there have been speculations surrounding the relationship between the show's leads, Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna.

ANUPAMAA STAR JASWIR KAUR ON GAURAV KHANNA-RUPALI GANGULY COLD WAR

In a recent interview, their co-star Jaswir Kaur aka Devika opened up about the reports of friction between the duo. Reacting to the same, she told Tellymasala, "Acha, sorry mai news nahi dekhti (laughs). Oh my god! Really? I swear, mai sach mei news nahi dekhti hun. Aur jab hum milte hai, hum toh waise hi milte hai. Mai itne mahino se mai nahi gayi hun set pe, toh sept pe kya ho raha hai mujhe nahi maloom. So ye agar new hai, toh I think pata lagana padega (laughs)."

She added, "I don't know, sach mei. It's been months aur kya hai na, everybody is so busy in their personal life na toh wo chit-chat wala abhi hota nahi hai. So, maafi chahti hun no masala dene ke liye. But, I don't know. Agar kuch hai, solve ho jae. Nahi hai toh lage raho."

WHY GAURAV KHANNA MISSED RUPALI GANGULY BIRTHDAY BASH? JASWIR KAUR REACTS

Interestingly, Rupali Ganguly turned a year older a few days ago and hosted a birthday bash which was attended by most of her Anupamaa co-stars, including Jaswir Kaur. However, Gaurav Khanna was absent from the event.

When asked about the actor's absence from Ganguly's birthday party, Jaswir stated, "I don't know. In fact, bohot log nahi aae hai. So, I was like, ye kahan hai, wo kahan hai. Mai shoot nahi kar rahi na itne mahino se, mai soch rahi hun kaun-kaun... Baa nahi hai, Babuji nahi hai, Mamaji nahi hai. Haa, Gaurav is also not there, kaafi log nahi aae hai aaj, so I've no idea."

So far Rupali and Gaurav haven't yet opened up about the ongoing rumours.
