Starring Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Mayuri Deshmukh as Imlie, Aditya, and Malini respectively, the daily soap swiftly won over audiences, emerging as one of the top-rated shows across all channels.

Last year, Imlie makers introduced the third generation leap and introduced Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy as the new lead stars after replacing Karan Vohra and Megha Chakraborty. While the new generation got acceptance by the loyal fanbase, the show's downfall started after the death of Agastya.

After a journey spanning nearly four years and three generational shifts, Imlie has been officially announced to bid farewell to its audience later this month. The cast and crew recently concluded filming and shared heartfelt farewell messages on social media, leaving fans feeling sad.

For those who are unaware, Ankit Gupta and Rutuja Bagwe-starrer much-awaited show Maati Se Bandhi Dor is set to replace Imlie at the time slot of 8:30 pm. TV fans are heartbroken with Imlie going off-air, however, they are also excited about the launch of Ankit's new show after Junooniyatt.

Amid all this, Imlie lead star Sai Ketan Rao opened up about Maati Se Badhi Dor replacing his much-loved show. Talking to Bollywood Life about the same, he said, "I am not fully aware which show is replacing 'Imlie' as you know there are many changes at the end moment. However, if the said show (Maati Se Bandhi Dor) is truly replacing 'Imlie,' I wish the entire cast and crew all the best."

SAI KETAN RAO FEELS IMLIE DESERVED AN EXTENSION OR SLOT CHANGE

While nothing can be done now, Sai Ketan Rao feels that Imlie didn't deserve to go off-air at this point as it has been perfoming consistently and the makers had a lot in store for viewers. The actor thinks that the show deserved an extension or a change in the time-slot.
