Bhola Shankar Story

Bhola Shankar is a remake version of Tamil movie Vedalam and it is action drama movie directed by Meher Ramesh. The movie casts Chiranjeevi, Keerthi Suresh and Tamannaah Bhatia are in the lead roles along with Sumanth, Raghu Babu, Rao Ramesh, Murli Sharma, Ravishankar P and many others are seen in supporting roles. The Music composed by Sagar Mahati while cinematography done by Dudley and it is edited by Marthand K Venkatesh. The film is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner.

Story

Shankar (Chiranjeevi), arrives in Kolkata with the intention of supporting his younger sister Mahalakshmi's (Keerthi Suresh) education. During his time there, he crosses paths with Lasya (Tamanna Bhatia), a lawyer by profession. A particular action taken by Shankar inadvertently endangers Lasya's career, leading to his frustration. Amidst these circumstances, Mahalakshmi develops romantic feelings for Srikar (Sreesanth), Lasya's brother.

Subsequently, the families of Shankar and Srikar agree to unite the two through marriage. However, Lasya opposes this union due to her resentment towards Shankar. Meanwhile, Shankar uncovers a human trafficking ring that operates internationally. This organization is headed by Alex (Tarun Arora), whose younger sibling is killed in a confrontation with Shankar.

Shankar's rectitudinous, he lands himself in the soup when the affected ruffians decide to murder him for his law-abiding act. To their surprise, Shankar fights back and how? He simply transforms into a cold-blooded murderer and goes on a rampage. Who is Shankar ? What is his past? Why is a killer wearing the mask of an innocent taxi driver? Answers to these questions forms the crux of Bhola Shankar.

Bhola Shankar movie was released in theaters on 11th August 2023.

Box-Office

Bhola Shankar film was made with a budget of 140 crore, and it achieved a pre-release business of 80.6 crore before hitting the screens. On its first day of release, the movie garnered an impressive 33 plus crore.

OTT Release

Popular digital platform Netflix bagged the rights of Bhola Shankar and It will start streaming from September 15th, 2023.
