Kingdom Story

Kingdom is a Telugu action drama film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The movie stars Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, alongside a strong supporting cast that includes Satya Dev, Venkitesh V. P., Ayyappa P. Sharma, Goparaju Ramana, Manish Chaudhari, Baburaj, Mahesh Achanta, Rajkumar Kasireddy, and Ajith Koshy. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography handled by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John. Editing is done by Naveen Nooli. The film is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Creations, and Srikara Studios.

The film's promotional campaign began with the first-look poster and theatrical release date announcement on August 2, 2024. The official title and teaser were unveiled on February 12, 2025, followed by the trailer launch on July 26, 2025.

Story

Suri (Vijay Deverakonda) is a constable at the Ankapur Police Station. He often gets into trouble due to his impulsive nature whenever he witnesses injustice. He is also on a personal mission to find his elder brother Shiva (Satya Dev), who ran away from home during their childhood. When Suri gets entangled in a problematic situation and faces suspension, his superior officer assigns him a secret mission. Although he’s reluctant, he agrees after learning the mission might lead him to his brother Shiva, who is now in Sri Lanka.

Why did Shiva run away from home in his childhood? How was he responsible for their father's death? How did he become the leader of a Tamil community in Sri Lanka? What challenges does Suri face after stepping into Sri Lanka? How does he attempt to bring Shiva back to India? What is the conflict between Shiva and Murugan (Venkatesh V. P.)? How does Madhu (Bhagyashri Borse), a doctor in Sri Lanka, support Suri? Why does discrimination against Telugu-speaking people still exist in Sri Lanka? Why did the Telugu community migrate there during the British era? And how does Suri, who initially goes on a police operation, become a leader of the Telugu people in Sri Lanka? These are the questions that form the core of Kingdom's story.

Release Date:

Kingdom was initially scheduled to release in theatres on May 30, 2025. However, the production team officially postponed the release on May 14. The movie was released on the big screens on July 31, 2025.
