The Raja Saab Story
The Raja Saab is a Telugu romantic horror entertainer directed by Maruthi Dasari. The film features Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan, Niddhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in the lead roles, with Sanjay Dutt, Samuthirakani, Boman Irani, Supreet, Saptagiri, Satya, VTV Ganesh, Prabhas Sreenu, and many others appearing in supporting roles.
The music is composed by Thaman S, cinematography is handled by Karthik Palani, and editing is done by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao. The film is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory.
The official title and first look poster of The Raja Saab were unveiled on January 14, 2024, coinciding with the Sankranti/Pongal festivities. The official teaser was released on June 16, 2025.
Story
Raju (Prabhas) is a fun-loving and kind-hearted man who is always ready to help anyone in trouble. His grandmother Gangavva, also known as Gangadevi (Zarina Wahab), is suffering from a rare disease and constantly waits for her estranged husband Kanakaraj (Sanjay Dutt), who has been separated from her for years. Unable to see his grandmother’s pain, Raju sets out to search for his grandfather and travels to Hyderabad. There, he falls in love at first sight with Bessie (Nidhhi Agerwal), a Christian nun. However, Gangaraju (Samuthirakani) reveals a shocking truth about Raju’s grandfather.
What exactly is the disease that Gangavva is suffering from? How does this illness affect Raju emotionally? Why does Raju decide to search for his long-lost grandfather, and what truth does he discover about him? How does Raju’s love story with Bessie lead to marriage? What is the nature of Raju’s relationship with Anitha (Riddhi Kumar) and Bhairavi (Malavika Mohanan)? Does Raju finally reunite his grandfather with his grandmother? How does Raju’s emotional journey unfold with his grandparents?
