Actor Mohanlal directed Barroz, an adaptation of Jijo Punnoose's novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure. The film, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, features Mohanlal in the lead role alongside Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Tuhin Menon, and Guru Somasundaram in prominent roles. Entirely shot in 3D, the film boasts a score by Mark Kilian, with songs composed by Lydian Nadhaswaram, Fernando Guerreiro, and Miguel Guerreiro. Cinematography was helmed by Santosh Sivan, and editing was handled by B. Ajithkumar, adding to the film’s technical brilliance.
