Bhooth Bangla OTT Release: When And Where To Watch Akshay Kumar’s Latest Horror Comedy Movie Online

Bhooth Bangla (2026) is a Hindi-language horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Akshay Kumar along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film marks the much-awaited reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years since Khatta Meetha, and their second horror-comedy collaboration after the blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). Released in theatres on April 17, 2026, the movie emerged as a major box office success, earning over ₹245 crore worldwide and becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year. 

Bhooth Bangla brings together a stellar ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar in a dual role as Arjun Acharya/Madhav, alongside comic veterans Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. The film also features Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mithila Palkar in key roles, with supporting performances from Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Rajesh Sharma, and Zakir Hussain, while Shehnaaz Gill makes a special appearance. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is produced by Akshay Kumar along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films. 

Bhooth Bangla turned out to be a major box office success, earning an impressive ₹245.22 crore worldwide against a production budget of around ₹120 crore, thereby achieving a “Clean Hit” status. The film marks a strong comeback for the iconic duo of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, even surpassing the lifetime collections of Housefull 5 to secure its spot among the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2026. Bhooth Bangla will premiere on Netflix on June 12, 2026, following an eight-week theatrical window after its April 17 release. The horror-comedy is expected to start streaming around 12:30 PM IST, in line with Netflix’s usual release schedule in India. 

Bhooth Bangla is a fun horror-comedy about Arjun Acharya (Akshay Kumar), who returns to his village to host his sister’s wedding in his ancestral haveli. But the village has a scary secret, brides disappear on their wedding night. At first, Arjun doesn’t believe it, but soon strange and spooky things start happening. As the danger grows, he learns that the curse is connected to his own family’s past, and he must face it to save his loved ones.
