Kathal The-Core: Know Release Date, Cast and All You Need To Know About Megastar Mammootty's Upcoming Family Drama

'Kathal The-Core' starring Mammootty and Jyothika  in the lead role, is one  of the most-anticipated movies this year. Helmed by Jeo Baby, which marks his first collaboration with Megastar Mammootty. In his  career so far, Jeo Baby has directed six films, each different in theme and genre as well. Jeo Baby become a household name after the success of his film ' The Great Indian Kitchen'. The film was released in theaters in 2021, had received good reviews from audience as well as critics. 

Touted to be a family entertainer, 'Kathal The-Core' marks returns of actress Jyothika to the Malayalam film industry after 12 years. Before Kathal, Jyothika who had appeared in a lead in the two Malayalam movies namley Seethakalyanam and Rakkilippattu. According to reports, the film 'Kathal The-Core' marks Jyothika's third film in Malayalam. Titled by  Jeo Baby, the first look poster of the film was released on October 18, 2023 had gained attention of audience. 

The film features Mammootty and Jyothika in the lead roles. The script is penned by the writers Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson, the film marks seventh project of film maker Jeo Baby. Produced by Mammootty Kampany, the film is distributed by  Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films. Apart from Mammootty and Jyothika, it also features Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni and Sudhi Kozhikode in the supporting roles. 

Earlier report shows that the film is set to release on OTT platform. But later, the film makers officially announced the theatrical release date of the film recently. According to latest resources, the film is set to hit the theaters on this month. 

According to reports, the upcoming film 'Kathal The-Core' is one of the big budget movies this year. Featuring Mammootty and Jyothika in the main lead, the film is set to hit the big  screens on May 11th 2023.
