Loved 'Voice Of Sathyanathan' ? Here Are Must-watch Malayalam Comedy Thriller Movies

Romancham is one of the best humorous thriller movies made in Malayalam in recent years. Directed by Jithu Madhavan and produced by John Paul George and Girish Gangadharan , the story of the movie centers on a group of friends who resided in a leased apartment in the city. When two strangers enter their lives, they are already having trouble getting more. But the things start to change when one of them decides to use the Ouija board, and what occurs next influences the rest of the narrative. The film was released in theaters and declared a block-buster hit at the box-office. As per the reports, the film joined Rs 50 crore club 23 days after its release.

It tells the story of a young man named Dhavan Vinu, who lives in a village called 'Anathadam'. His sister's wedding was already scheduled, and he had some bottles of Dhavan on hand to meet the demands of his inebriated friends. Sadly, the marriage never happened, and lockdown was implemented that same day. The movie shows the residents' struggles to get the bottle from Vinu, who was the only supplier of alcohol for the entire hamlet. Corona Dhavan is the directorial debut of C.C Nithin. The film featured Sreenath Bhasi and Lukhman Shah in the significant roles. Written by Sujai Mohanraj and produced by James John and Jerome John under the banner of James & Jerome Productions.

The movie tells a love story between Sethu, who is a job seeker waiting for the results of a bank test, and Megha, the daughter of SP, takes an unexpected turn when Sethu’s nurse sister decides to elope before them. This sudden twist throws both Sethu and Megha into a state of confusion and uncertainty. The film directed by Achyuth Vinayak, and featured actors Arjun Ashokan and Anna Benn in the lead roles.

Kurukkan is another Malayalam comedy drama direcetd by Jayalal Divakaran and featured actors Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sreenivasan and Shine Tom Chacko in the lead roles. The movie is a humorous narration of a police officer's murder investigation and how his knee-jerk reactions quite often land him in trouble. It is a complete comedy entertainer that connects the murder mystery is only partially successful. Kurukkan was released in theaters and received good reviews from audiences and critics from every corner.

Starring Nalsen K Gafoor and Mathew Thomas in the significant role, 'Neymar' hit the theaters on May 12 and received excellent responses from the audience and critics alike. According to reports, the film earned Rs 10 crores at the box-office, and got good reviews from overseas. Helmed by Sudhi Maddison, Neymar script was penned by the director along with Paulson Sakaria and Adarsh Sukumaran. Apart from Mathew Thomas and Nelson K Gafoor, 'Neymar', also featured a stellar cast including Dev Nandha, Johny Antony  Keerthana Sreekumar, and many more.

Featuring Kunchako Boban, Aparna Balamurali and Madonna Sebastian in the significant role, 'Padmini' is a fun-filled tale of a young poet named Rameshan. The film was written and directed by Senna Hegde, popular for his National Award Winning movie 'Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam'. Without a doubt, Padmini is a romantic comedy that you must see.
