Top 10 Highest Grossing Malayalam Movies At The GCC Box-office

The film 'Lucifer' is one of the highest grossing movies ever made in Malayalam in recent times. Starring Mohanlal in lead roles, the film marks the directorial debut of actor-producer Prithviraj. Written by Murali Gopi, the film deals with issues of common man,  backdrop of politics and relevance of  contemporary socio-political situation. Actor Mohanlal who essayed the role of politician named 'Stephen Nedumpally which considers one of the finest performances. Apart from Mohanlal, it also featured Vivek Oberoi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, and Manju Warrier in key roles. The film .was released in theaters, had collected over ₹200 crore at the Indian box office. Apart from this , the film earned Rs 39.6 crores from GCC. Lucifer is the second film of actor Mohanlal, which entered in the 100 crores club after Pulimurugan.
 

Directed Vyshakan, the film 'Pulimurugan' is the highest grossing films in Malayalam cinema. After the release of it's six years, the film is still top on the first position. According to reports, the film had earned Rs 85.7 cores from the Kerala box office alone. Additionally, the movie released in Gulf countries and had collected  33.25 crores at the box-office. Like a complete action-adventure drama, that told the story of a hunter who battled human-eating tigers in the forest. Actor Mohanlal featured in a lead role is the major attraction of the movie. With a high voltage of action sequences and visual effective techniques, the film grabbed the audience attention.

Mammootty's 'Beeshmaparvam' was the highest grossing Malayalam movie which released in 2022. The action thriller drama, directed and produced by Amal Neerad, well-received in theaters and earned around Rs 45 crores from the box-office. It was the  first Malayalam film screened with a full house in Kerala after the first wave of Covid-pandemic. As per the reports, the film had collected Rs. 25 crores at the Kerala box-office after the five days of its release. Apart from this, it attracted to many audience to theatres in abroad India especially GCC. The film also marked the second collaboration of actor Mammootty along with Amal Neerad after success of Big B.

Premam is a rom-com drama, which talks about love, care-free life and self-reliance. The film directed by Alphonse Putheran, it starred Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameswaran and Madona Sebastian in lead roles. It is perfect mixture of love, music, melachonny and action elements. With stellar performances of actors on-screen, the film had received good responses from the audience and comes under the list of block-buster hit movies of 2015. Made up with a total of Rs 4crores , the film had collected Rs 60 crores from the box-office.The film also marked one of the finest of performance of actor Nivin Pauly's career life.

Starring Dulquer Salam in lead role , the film 'Kurup' is one of the best crime thriller movies ever made in Malaylam Cinema in recent times. Directed by Srinath Rajendran, the film crossed Rs 35 crores at the World box -office. With astonishing acting skills and stunning appearances, the actor Dulquer Salman gained a lot of attention of cinephiles. Produced by the actor under his production company Wayfarer Films, the film also declared as super hit at the GCC box office. Apart from Dulquer Salman, it also featured Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko and Sobhita Dhulipala in prominent roles.

The film Kayamkuklam Kochunni is the second highest grossing film of actor Nivin Pauly after success of 'Premam'. The film made up with a big-budget and released in large screen count, had received positive reviews from the audience. According to reports, the film had collected over Rs 5 crores from the box office on the opening day and became the biggest Malayalam opener ever. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film marked first collaboration of actor Mohanlal along with Nivin Pauly. It also featured Priya Anand as the female lead and Sunny Wayne, MS Bhaskar, Priyanka Thimmesh in supporting roles.

Made up with a total of Rs 100 crores, the film 'Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham' grabbed the audience attention. Released in theaters the film had received average reviews from the audience and critics. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is one of the most expensive films ever made in Malayalam cinema. It is is the first Indian movie to enter the Rs 100 crore club worldwide through reservations alone. As per the reports, the film earned Rs  17 crores at the Gulf countries box-office.

'Ennu Ninte Moideen' is one of the highest grossing movies ever made in Malyalam cinema. The film which tells a true love story Balyambra Pottattu Moideen aka B P Moideen and Kottatil Kanchanamala. Directed by R.S.Vimal, the film featured actors Prithviraj and Parvathy Thiruvoth in main roles. The film was released in theaters had received critical appreciation and accolades from audience and critics. After breaking record colletion at Indian box-office, the film also had collected over Rs 14 crores at the overseas box-office.

As per the reports, Prithviraj Sukumaran - Shaji Kailas’ action entertainer ‘Kaduva’ collected over Rs 40 crores  at the Worldwide box-office. Additionally, the film had earned Rs 18 crores from overseas . 'Kadua' marks the first collaboration of actor Prithviraj with director Shaji Kailas. The film 'Kaduva'hit the big screen and gained postived respones from audience and critics. Apart from Prithviraj, it also featured actors Samyukta Menon, Vivek Oberoi, Kalabhavan Shajoh, Alencier, Baiju and Rahul Madhav appeared in pivotal roles.

Directed by actor-director Vineeth Srinivasan, the film 'Hridayam' is one of the best campus-romantic dramas in Malayalam.The film got released during the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, but it may not effected the movie collection. It had attracted a lot of audience to theaters. Made up with a small budget the film had earned Rs 50 crores at the world box-office.
