"Garudan" soared with critics in 2024! Praised for its raw emotional core and gripping story, the film follows Soori, a loyal friend caught in a web of betrayal.  R.V. Udayakumar's scheming minister and Soori's emotional journey resonated with audiences. While the action was intense, some critics felt the violence became excessive.  Despite that, "Garudan" remains a powerful rural drama, earning Soori acclaim and propelling him as a leading actor.

"Lal Salaam," Rajinikanth's much-awaited return in 2024, offered a mixed bag. The film, directed by his daughter Aishwarya, is a social drama with a noble message about redemption.
