The
actress
who
was
seen
playing
Neytiri
in
the
2009
release,
will
be
resuming
the
role
for
Avatar
2
and
possibly
3.
Zoe
Saldaña
opened
up
about
Avatar
2
during
The
Adam
Project
promotional
interview.
The
actress
revealed
that
the
footage
was
so
"powerful"
it
brought
her
to
tears.
She
said,
"[Cameron]
was
finally
able
to
crack
that
challenge
[underwater
motion-capture],
you
know,
that
whole
thing
that
you
can't
imitate
water
through
performance-capture
-
that
was
just
a
challenge
that
he
had
taken
upon
himself
and
it
took
him
years,
and
he
did
it!"
"It's
powerful,
it's
compelling.
I
can
get
choked
up
just
talking
about
it
because
I
was
able
to
see
just
20
minutes
of
the
second
instalment
right
before
the
year
ended
last
year,
and
I
was
speechless.
I
was
moved
to
tears," Zoe
added.
Talking
about
the
film,
she
said
the
sequel
is
"definitely
a
leap"
from
the
original.
"I
think
you
really
have
to
brace
yourself
for
it,
but
it's
going
to
be
an
adventure
that
you
will
not
forget."
Apart
from
Avatar
sequels,
Zoe
is
also
gearing
up
for
the
release
of
Guardians
of
the
Galaxy
Volume
3
and
is
expected
to
make
a
cameo
in
Thor:
Love
And
Thunder.
For
the
unversed,
Avatar
2
is
set
to
hits
cinemas
on
December
16
and
will
be
followed
by
three
sequel
releases
scheduled
for
December
20,
2024,
December
18,
2026,
and
December
22,
2028.
