Veteran
Malayalam
film
actor
Thilakan
has
gone
back
to
his
first
love
'theatre" after
a
long
gap
of
25
years.
The
72
year
old
actor
started
his
career
as
a
theater
artist,
shifted
to
films
with
the
Malayalam
movie
Ulkadal
in
1979.
He
had
a
small
role
in
this
film
but
made
his
mark
as
an
actor.
Since
then,
he
appeared
in
many
Mollywood
films
and
went
on
earning
various
awards
for
his
performances.
Now,
the
veteran
is
again
making
a
comeback
to
his
first
passion
'theatre" after
25
years.
He
has
acted
in
his
first
comeback
theater
venture
'Itho
Daivathinte
Swantham
Naadu",
which
has
been
directed
by
the
actor
himself.
It
was
staged
on
last
Sunday
at
the
Kunchan
Nambiar
auditorium
in
Ambalappuzha.
Recently,
Thilakan
formed
'Aksharajwala
Nadakakkalari"
and
the
drama
was
its
first
venture.
Speaking
about
his
second
innings
in
theater,
Thilakan
said
that
audiences
are
with
him,
so
he
will
continue
to
act
in
dramas
till
his
health
permits.
The
veteran
actor
said
that
he
has
already
established
himself
as
a
film
actor,
so
he
does
not
require
to
bag
for
that.
After
the
show,
Thilakan
added
that
he
will
continue
to
act
if
somebody
wants
him
to
do
that.
In
the
meantime,
Thilakan"s
film
Achan,
which
will
have
him
in
the
lead
character,
has
been
given
positive
nod
by
Film
Development
Corporation
for
its
release.
Earlier,
director
Ali
Akbar
was
not
allowed
to
release
the
film.
