Actress Attack Case: Manju Warrier Appears Before Court To Identify The Voice Of Her Former Husband Dileep

The trial court re-examined actress Manju Warrier in the actress attack case today. The main objective behind questioning Manju is to ascertain whether the voice in the audio clips produced by Balachandrakumar is Dileep's. It is hoped that the authenticity of the crucial digital evidence in the case will be proved by interrogating Manju. Earlier, the Supreme Court rejected the petition filed by Dileep seeking to stop the re-examination of Manju Warrier and others.

Accepting the stand of Atijeevta's lawyer that it should not be the accused who should be examined in the case, the Supreme Court instructed the trial court not to interfere in the witness examination and to allow the prosecution to continue the witness examination and complete it quickly. Manju, the 34th witness, had been examined earlier in the case. Meanwhile, the application for extension of time for trial proceedings will be considered again on March 24, 2023.

Dileep's demand was to stop the prosecution's move to interrogate actress Manju Warrier and Kavya Madhavan's parents. Moreover, the state government also came forward with a bitter reply to Dileep, who pointed out that the prosecution is trying to fill the gap of evidence in the case. The government also clarified that the effort is not to fill the gap of evidence but to ensure justice for the victim. Moreover, the state government argued that it is necessary to interrogate Manju Warrier. After this, the court rejected Dileep's demand.

The prosecution requested the trial court to re-examine Manju Warrier to identify the voices of Dileep, brother, sister and sister-in-law in the voice clip produced by Balachandrakumar. The prosecution has also asked Kavya Madhavan's Father about the opening of the locker in the Federal Bank.
